Discovering that sharks are being massacred by the hundreds of thousands to further the gain of criminal enterprises, Eli Roth sets out on a mission to expose the truth. Along the way, he recruits a team of researchers and activists to interview the people and organizations who advocate for murdering sharks. But most people refuse to talk and Roth is told by one man that meddling in the shark business has consequences. However, that doesn't stop Roth and his team from digging deeper into an industry that exploits the misunderstood creatures for profit.
