The trailer for Connected begins with a father named Rick (voiced by Danny McBride) describing his once perfect relationship with his daughter Katie (voiced by Abbi Jacobson.) Now that she is a teenager preparing for college, Rick feels disconnected from her as she spends all her time on her electronics. As a way to reconnect, Rick decides to cancel Katie’s flight and haul the whole family across the country to take her to college. The trip that ensues is cut short when malfunctioning robots take over the world. The quirky family must work together to save each other and the world.
