In the official trailer for Arrival, we see Dr. Louise Banks (Amy Adams) playing with a little girl when an alarm sounds and jet planes zoom through the sky. Later, a soldier comes to her door and tells her to pack her bags. He takes her to a landed UFO, where she must find out what the extraterrestrials want. As she puts her hand on a wall inside, a tentacle on the other side greets her hand. With more UFOs landing around the world, and clips of impending war, Amy's character attempts to learn the language of the aliens before it's too late.
