43 years and we still enjoy

April 15, 2024

The last vestiges of the personable, small town theater still survive here. Many shows while my children were growing up and my wife and I have enjoyed through the 43 years we have lived in Wilmette, and I look forward to many more! Keep on trucking, Wilmette Theater!

Excellent Movie Selections

February 03, 2024

I totally appreciate the movies management selects to show at the Wilmette Theatre. There are times when a film, with great reviews, is only showing in Wilmette. In addition they show popular films such as the Barbie movie from first day of release, making it easy to see the film before the lines got really long.

Worst customer service in town

October 28, 2023

We used to frequent this theater a lot. No more. We went to a Saturday matinee today in one of their two small theaters. After a few minutes a large group of children came out of the other theater and had a birthday party in the lobby not very many feet away from where we were attempting to not only see, but also HEAR our movie. When I went out to request that something be done the young woman behind the counter told me that nothing could be done and that the kids would soon be gone (they were not--it was minimally 20 minutes of noise.) Then she informed me that I could leave and, in fact, she could "kick me out" for "yelling" at her. If a theater like this expects to exist, they need to (a) have better customer service training for their employees (b) let customers know in advance that there will l be a party in the lobby and they should expect to miss 20 minutes of movie dialogue. I never thought I'd be voting for the big theater chains, but after today, that's where we'll be going.

Great Popcorn buttered to your direction

April 27, 2018

This small, cozy theatre is easy to find, comfortable with excellent customer service. There is free parking in the area and the movies are carefully chosen. They show documentaries of all kinds and have a full range of Oscar Nominations. The movies are smart, informative, colorful and humorous. They pick the best. You can count on it. Try it you will like it. Sarah S.
