DISAPPOINTED

March 16, 2017

Silverspot Mercato used to be my favorite movie theatre but lately I no longert enjoy sitting in a room where people are making loud noises while drinking and eating plus the smell of food (hamburger and fries to name a few) and some other rude people burping once in a while - the pleasure of relaxing while viewing a movie is gone - Sorry but restaurants are for eating and movie theaters for entertainment but they do not fit together - Especially when those eaters are behaving as if they were alone - I would not go to their home for a meal why do I have to sit with them to watch a movie - I just signed with Netflix to avoid this nonsense and found out that some of my friends did the same.

Nice theatre, but rude employees

February 02, 2018

The theater seats are quite roomy, very comfortable. Stadium seating allows for a great view of the screen. (We were in row G - perfect.) The movie was supposed to start at 3:00 pm, but instead, there were 20 tiresome minutes of very loud, non-stop previews. Would recommend buying your tickets online rather than at the theater in order to avoid the rude employees. We could not find anyone in the lobby to handle the ticket sale, so we asked someone in the concession area. She was very rude and said she could not help us. We asked a 2nd person, also very rude, who said he could not help us. We finally found a ticket person who begrudgingly sold us our tickets, then expected us to leave him a tip for simply ringing up the tickets. (Needless to say, we didn't.) After the movie we visited the restrooms just outside the theater, which were clean.

Double booked my seats

January 03, 2018

It was bad. I went to see star wars with my son and got to the seat and they double booked my seat. There was someone else sitting there. Went back and got in line to deal with this as the movie was starting and they gave me 2 other seats that were also being occupied. Then we went to the front rows and it was horrible. Happened twice there now. They are struggling.

EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL

December 19, 2020

I was attending the new monster movie and i decided with my friends to go to the bathroom. we are all woman, but one of my friends is trans. she had just recently came out and not a lot of people of people were supportive of her decision. she isn’t very passing for a woman. so at first glance you would think she is a man. we had a male worker come up to us in the bathroom and ask if a man was in here. since there wasn’t we responded no. once he had entered more into the woman’s restroom he saw my friend and immediately called her a man. i could see the pain on her face after hearing it. after we’re escorted out of the theater. the worker says under his breath “that’s clearly a man” not only was that extremely disrespectful, but just down right rude. we had multiple times told him that she is a woman. it saddens me to see people not being supportive of another person in 2020. i will never set foot there again. this man was rude, condescending, transphobic, and down right a monster. anyone who would allow this behavior of one of their employees is wrong!

rude employees, terrible restrooms, rundown

January 24, 2018

Had two very rude employees (young men) this evening when leaving a show this evening. The women restrooms have been anywhere from bad to disgusting for at least the past 7 months. Seems be getting worse instead of better even after mentioning it to employees in the past. Went in women restrooms when we got there, before the show started this evening. There was only 2 small recessed lights working. Could not see in stalls. Someone went and complained. About 45 minutes later the lights were working. Went in after the show and almost every stall was out of tissue paper, at least 3 sinks didn't work, water was cold, some toilets weren't flushing, paper towels all over the floors and soap dispensers were out of soap. This seems to be a common thing in their restrooms as of late. I remember when they were clean, working and warm water ran from the faucets. When leaving several of us mentioned it to the two employees (young men) who were checking tickets for incoming movie goers. They proceeded to laugh and thought it was funny. Some man behind us (who we don't know) made a comment to them about their rudeness and they laughed at him. Came home and tried to contact someone and as usual no one ever answers the phone. There is no option to leave a message or a prompt for customer service. This cinema was nice several years ago. It has gotten tired and rundown. Silverspot is advertised as an upscale cinema! LOL
