Beware of purchasing tickets in advance

I purchased tickets for my husband , my granddaughter and myself a week in advance to see Polar Express. The plan was to make it an annual Christmas tradition . Each year we would add additional grandchildren as they became old enough to attend . The morning of the show (last show available) she woke up with a violent stomach bug. I called the IMAX theater as soon as they opened to see if I could get credit for an future show . I was not asking for a refund just a credit for a future show . Not only was the customer service representative unfriendly , she told me their policy for 13 years was absolutely no refunds or future credits. I always see on the commercials how Jordan's prides themselves on community service and customer service . If so , then this policy should be rethought. I for one, will not go back to the IMAX. Beware of purchasing tickets in advance . If for some reason you are not able to attend , you have lost your money.
