Galaxy Theatres only wants your money

I love movies and, like many others, want to see the best action movies in their full glory, meaning in 3D IMAX/ATMOS, whatever new technology is available. I Reno, we only have one choice, Galaxy Theatres, and I became their customer. A couple of days ago I made an online reservation to see Avengers: Infinity War. This time, instead of using Fandango, which was unable to do it for that particular theatre, I used their app for my Pixel 2 XL. I never had a problem before with Fandango, but it looks like Galaxy Theaters app is not so easy to use, and I ended making the wrong reservation. I made the mistake of selecting Friday instead of Saturday (that is, I clicked that day, but the app probably thought I was looking at the programming and not requesting that date for the reservation). So, on Saturday I went to Galaxy Theaters in Sparks, NV with my daughter and her husband only to discover that my reservation was wrong. Even worse, a passed reservation is worth nothing, and they couldn't use it for that or any other future day. It is just their policy. Interestingly, the manager recognized that many people make the same mistake. It is possible that by creating that app they are charging twice many of their customers (given the monopoly they have in Reno/Sparks), but my family and I left for good. I'll never go again there. If you need to go to Galaxy Theaters, buy the ticket on the theatre, don't ever make the mistake of using their app or you could receive the same treatment.

Awful Customer Service

The first half hour of the movie had all kinds of issues with the audio. Not only that but when leaving the theater I approached the snack bar to get a refill on my soda. I flagged down a supervisor who was wearing a tie and had black hair. I asked for a refill and he said I would have to wait in line again to get a refill. I said that there was at least 25-30 people and that he or one of the employees standing in back would just fill it up with ice and soda. He refused and again told me I had to wait in the line. For the audio and the way I was treated by your staff I will not be returning to your theater and I will make it a point to tell all my friends and family how the theater was run.
