This theater is really nice. Clearly the other poster has a beef with the theater that's not related to their operation. Probably the guy who used to run the strand.

Avoid

March 26, 2017

Avoid this theater. Old popcorn, very dirty, staff are rude, no toilet paper in bathroom, paper towel dispenser doesn't work. I will never go back

Cold place to watch a movie!

January 20, 2018

Shortly after the movie began my friend went out to the lobby to tell them to turn off the a/c as it was cold in the theater. They gave him some bs about how it was a balanced system and they would correct it. He returned. About a third of the way through he left again as we had a cold draft coming down on us. Came back and finally halfway through the movie he left for good. I stuck it out, but I paid for it. The following day I woke up with one of the worst head colds I've ever had. I won't go back. One other general comment which applies to most theaters - sound level for action/horror scenes is excruciatingly high and then you can't decipher the dialogue being mumbled. And of course too many previews - come 25 minutes after showtime for your feature start. And this reviewer is not the owner of any competitor, as the 5 star reviewer above implied about another review. This theater under new ownership is squeezing out every last bit of profit, and along with it their customers, my friends and I included.
