What a shit hole

May 07, 2023

Amazing movies have devolved into what we experienced at the John wick showing, There is zero future for this industry as it stands now.

Relaxing way to watch a movie

May 21, 2022

Enjoyed having food, adult beverages as well as a great selection of sodas from a mix machine, unlimited popcorn; but most of all a friendly staff who was interested in being of service.

Do you like the smell of a locker room?

November 16, 2018

First theater experience in Texas. Might be the last for a Drafthouse. The theater itself smells of sweaty feet and shame. The theater screens are textured and uneven giving everything a fuzzy wash. The noise of the HVAC system sounds like a jet engine taking off over the sound of the movie itself. The food is good, when it's what you actually ordered. We had the unfortunate happenstance of eating in the bar before our movie and then getting snacks/dessert in the theater. The pizza was good, but we got the wrong meals for my husband and daughter 30 minutes after we ordered. 30 minutes. For mediocrity. Then, in the theater I had to tell the server what was on the menu... donuts with blueberry compote and creme fraiche. Sounds amazing. Absolutely horrible. The compote.. if you took the blueberries from the tin in a blueberry muffin box....that's it. Crunchy flavorless donuts. Cramped, old school seating.

Awful

November 02, 2018

It was my birthday so I chose to go see my moms favorite movie( she passed away 6 years ago) a star is born. The whole movie you could hear the other movies over the one I watched also someone was walking on the roof so loudly it was also easily heard even over the singing. I ordered a margarita and popcorn and both were awful. The popcorn was half kernels and with ever bite I had to spit out several and left half a bowl of them soaked in butter and the margarita was the most sour one I had ever had it's like the put just Tequila and lime juice and nothing else. The movie itself was so grainy and had weird dark and blury spots on the screen. It was worse than if they filmed in non HD, very strange. Iam handicap and it's not easy for me to sit through a movie but to sit through one and have this experience was the worst. I will be calling the manager tomorrow.

Do your stomach a favor --- catch your movie someplace else!

April 17, 2018

It is now approximately 22 hours since I ordered fish & chips at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Marketplace. I still have the diarrhea to prove it! But the diarrhea is far better than the six hours of after-dinner vomiting last night! This morning, I contacted the Alamo Drafthouse to let them know what happened so that other patrons would not suffer the same fate. The kitchen manager, Alex did respond. But, instead of asking for details of what I ordered so that they could take steps to cure the problem, they asked for a "second chance" and offered me food vouchers to return for another meal. Second chance?! Fat chance!! If the Alamo Drafthouse does not care about food safety enough to question me as to the details of what I ordered to prevent someone else from becoming ill, then I have no desire to eat there again--EVER!

Random Cancellations

April 16, 2018

Be aware. This movie theater will randomly list movies as SOLD OUT if they don’t have the staffing or ticket sales. We got there hoping to eat as well as see a movie since I intentionally didn’t eat before. Lying to customers is not a good business practice not to mention a huge inconvenience. I went to the Creekside theater and was the only person there. Sold out huh? I won’t get fooled again.

Best Shakes Around!

April 16, 2017

The wait staff is nothing short of awesome every time we go! Being able to actually relax and have leg room is one of the main reasons we keep coming back.
