In the trailer for The InBESTigators, a woman goes to a backyard detective agency and asks where the detectives are. Lead detectives Ezra (Aston Droomer), 11, and Maudie (Anna Cooke), 10, introduce themselves. We meet the rest of The InBESTigators: Ava (Abby Bergman) and Kyle (Jamil Smyth-Secka), who are equally young. They go out on missions to solve crimes such as finding a missing turtle, locating a stolen science fair experiment, and determining who sabotaged a dance troupe's music. It's all in a day's work for these young sleuths, who proclaim, "If you're innocent, there's no need to panic."
