In the second trailer for the period romantic comedy Rules Don't Apply, we are first introduced to "The Actress," a young aspiring star named Marla Mabrey (Lily Collins) who finds herself on many awkward casting sessions with her devout Baptist mother Lucy (Annette Bening) in tow. Next we meet "The Driver," an ambitious young man named Frank Forbes (Alden Ehrenreich) who has moved to Hollywood to become a successful entrepreneur. What Marla and Frank have in common is that they now both work for famed aviator and billionaire Howard Hughes (Warren Beatty) — and that they're hopelessly in love with one another. Unfortunately, their contract with Hughes prohibits inter-employee relationships, forcing the budding couple to deny their undeniable attraction to each other.
