Taylor Dooley's first step on the path to stardom began when she was was chosen as "The Cutest Baby" in a contest in her home state of Michigan. As part of the prize, she received a modeling contract. When she was five, Taylor and her parents moved to Arizona, where she studied dance and acting and continued to model. At nine, she joined the Phoenix Theater's Performance Troop and began working in commercials both in Arizona and California.
Eventually Taylor, along with her parents and younger brother, moved to Los Angeles, where she landed her first screen acting role. Not only was it a starring role, but it was in a major motion picture, playing the part of Lava Girl in The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl in 3-D (2005), directed by Robert Rodriguez.
In her spare time, Taylor enjoys music, reading, dancing, computers, horseback riding, swimming and cheerleading.
