Born: November 18, 1983

Date of Birth: November 18, 1983

Born Robert Appleby in Cuckfield, England, Robert Kazinsky took his grandfather’s middle name as his stage name in 2005 when he burst on to the acting scene as Casper Rose in the British TV drama Dream Team following graduation from the Guildford School for Acting. Although he was only on the show for one season, his screen presence and talents were quickly noticed and not forgotten.

Kazinsky next landed a role on the hit British soap opera EastEnders as an ex-military smooth talker, Sean Slater. His performance earned him numerous awards, including Best Actor at the Inside Soap Awards. However, he was given a two-month suspension from the show in February 2007 when he was found to have bombarded a model with obscene text messages and photographs. He apologized "for any offence caused and for bringing the show into disrepute." The following year, he announced that when his stint on the show ended, he would be pursuing an apprentice mechanic position.

Life outside of acting wasn’t so easy, though. When George Lucas recruited him for his war drama, Red Tails, alongside Terrance Howard, Elijah Kelly and Cuba Gooding Jr., he jumped at the chance and moved to Los Angeles, where he went on to land the role of Fili in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Unfortunately, Kazinsky was forced to leave a month after production began due to "personal reasons."

He bounced back with the role of Yancy Antrobus in Guillermo del Toro’s highly-anticipated Pacific Rim.

Kazinsky has not abandoned the small screen where he got his start. He has guest-starred on critically acclaimed and fan favorite shows such as Brothers and Sisters with Sally Field and True Blood starring Anna Paquin. He can now be seen as Orgrim in the fantasy epic Warcraft (2016).

Born to Jewish parents, Kazinsky is fluent in Hebrew and is still in touch with most of his Dream Team co-stars.
