In the trailer for Mary Poppins Returns, Jane (Emily Mortimer) and Michael Banks (Ben Whishaw) are visited by Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) who explains she’s here to save the Banks children. Michael reveals he’s going to lose his house and is distraught over the loss of his wife. We see Mary use her magic to transport her friend Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda) and Michael’s children to a world of animation. At the end of the trailer, an elderly balloon lady tells Michael he’s forgotten what it’s like to be a child.
