MARISA COUGHLAN

Date of Birth: March 17, 1975

Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Coughlan made her feature film debut in the film Untamed Heart while still in high school. Although the part never made it to screen it did wet her palate for the art of acting.

After high school, Coughlan attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Near the end of her tenure, she landed guest roles on series like Weird Science and High Society before getting her second feature film role in Fist of the North, playing Jenny. The role led to more television work such as the telefilms, Our Son, the Matchmaker and The Sleepwalking Killing.

Her first co-starring role came in 1999 with the teen film, Teaching Mrs. Tingle. Her performance as aspiring actress Jo Lynn Jordan convinced director Kevin Williamson to star her in his new television series, Wasteland.

She started the new millennium off with a bang, landing starring roles in four films including Gossip (2000), Freddy Got Fingered and Pumpkin (both 2001). She has also played regular roles in Boston Legal and Side Order of Life.
