Gordon (Zach Braff) decides he's going to propose to his girlfriend Sophie (Évelyne Brochu). Before he gets the chance, she tells him she has an interview for an employment opportunity in Québec City, Canada. He goes with her on the trip, and while there, Gordon meets Ruby Collins (Vanessa Hudgens) who he discovers is Sophie’s ex-girlfriend, to his surprise. He gets the feeling Ruby still wants to be with Sophie, but he won't give up without a fight.
