LINDSAY SLOANE

Date of Birth: August 8, 1977

Lindsay Sloane decided she wanted to be an actress at an early age. Born in New York, her family moved to California when Lindsay was just one. At eight, she signed up with an agent and began doing commercials, theater and voice work. Her first big television role was when she landed a recurring role from 1991 to 1993 on The Wonder Years. She soon began to book guest roles on other television series such as My So-Called Life, Too Something, Promised Land, Dharma & Greg, That '70s Show and The West Wing.

In 1995, she played the role of Tina in the CBS Schoolbreak Special Between Mother and Daughter, before getting a regular role on the sitcom Mr. Rhodes (1996). The show only lasted one season, but Lindsay soon found herself playing Sabrina’s quirky best friend Valerie on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch from 1997 to 1999.

In 1999, Lindsay made the switch to the big screen with a supporting role in the film Seven Girlfriends, starring Timothy Daly, but although it showed at several festivals, the film was never shown in wide release. However, her next feature was the huge box office success Bring It On, starring Kirsten Dunst and Jessie Bradford. The opening dance sequence starring Sloane as Big Red was nominated for a 2001 MTV Movie Award for Best Dance Sequence. Lindsay next won a regular role in the short-lived but critically acclaimed WB show Grosse Pointe.

Sloane's first major starring role in a Hollywood film was playing Albert Brook’s daughter Melissa in The In-Laws (2003), with Michael Douglas as her prospective father-in-law. She remains good friends with her Sabrina co-star Melissa Joan Hart and was a bridesmaid at Sarah Michelle Gellar's wedding to Freddie Prinze Jr.
