LILLA CRAWFORD

Date of Birth: February 23, 2001

Born in Los Angeles, Lilla Crawford started working as an actress at age six, when she was cast in a Cool Whip commercial. In addition to commercials, Lilla began acting at the Youth Academy of Dramatics Arts in Los Angeles, where she performed in 14 shows, including playing the role of Bert Healy in Annie.

During a 2011 vacation in New York, Lilla auditioned for the role of Debbie in the Broadway musical Billy Elliott. When she got back home, she found out she'd won the role and moved to New York. That same year, there was a nationwide search to find a girl to play the lead in a revival of the musical Annie on Broadway. Lilla was chosen out of 5,000 girls, after auditioning and getting five callbacks. While in New York, in addition to performing the lead in the show every night, she filmed a video blog called Simply Red for the show. She also played a role in a production of Ragtime with Lea Salonga, and workshop productions of Home the Musical and Melissa Arctic.

In 2014, Lilla made her feature film debut playing Little Red Riding Hood in the movie version of Stephen Sondheim's Broadway hit Into the Woods. Since then she has completed a role in the indie film Little Miss Perfect (2015).
