Ken Scott was born in Dalhousie, Nova Scotia and grew up in Laval, Quebec. In 1991, he received a certificate in screenwriting from l’Université du Québec à Montréal. He has been involved in film and television in various capacities ever since. In 2000, he wrote the French-Canadian comedy La vie après l’amour (Life After Love), which earned him a Best Screenplay nomination at the 2001 Jutra Awards, and won the Billet d’Or, which is awarded to the top-grossing Quebecois film of the year.
