The trailer for In the Fade begins with Nuri (Numan Acar) making a home video of himself, his wife Katja (Diane Kruger) and their young son Rocco. Later, we see Katja walking Rocco to the office where Nuri works. Katja leaves Rocco with Nuri, telling them she'll pick them up later. She then gets in the family car. When she returns later that evening, there's police tape all around the building where Nuri works. She gets out of her car in a panic and learns there's been an explosion. Rocco and Nuri are dead, and they may have been killed by Neo-Nazis.
