Joan Plowright Overview

Originally acclaimed as a stage actress, Plowright was born in Brigg, England, and trained at the renowned Old Vic Theatre School. Though they were both married when they co-starred together in 1960's The Entertainer, she married acting legend Sir Laurence Olivier in 1961 and remained his wife until his death in 1989.
