Born in Glendale, California, Eric Lloyd got his first job at the age of 18 months, appearing in a computer commercial. In 1988, when he was only two, he landed a recurring guest role on the hit TV series, The Wonder Years, playing a younger version of the main character, Kevin Arnold. In 1992, he landed a regular role on the short-lived television series Laurie Hill. The next year, Eric made his feature film debut in Heart and Souls (1993), playing Robert Downey, Jr.'s character as a child.
At the age of eight, he landed a role as Tim Allen's son in The Santa Clause (1994), followed by a lead role in Dunston Checks In (1996). Other highlights of his career include a two-year stint on the television series Jesse (1998 to 2000), a role in the Hallmark television movie A Christmas Memory (1997) alongside Patty Duke, and playing the young version of Bruce Wayne (played by George Clooney as an adult) in Batman & Robin (1997). He is often in demand to provide voices for animated characters in videos such as Virtual Oz and Who Stole Santa. In 1999 he won a Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Young Actor in a TV Comedy Series for his role in Jesse.
In 2002, Eric reprised the role he'd created eight years earlier in The Santa Clause, playing a teenager who has landed on Santa's "naughty" list in The Santa Clause 2.
His older sister is Emily Ann Lloyd, also a successful actor, with whom he's appeared in commercials. Eric has a dog named Wicket, a gift from Patty Duke when he worked with her on A Christmas Memory.
In September 2005, Eric enrolled at Chapman University. His hobbies include skateboarding, playing video games, drawing and doing card tricks.
