When intelligence collector Katharine Gun (Keira Knightley) objects to Prime Minister Tony Blair's parading of false information to gain support for the Iraq War, she takes it upon herself to disseminate and leak the facts to the press. Seeing that her duty is to the people, and not the government, Katharine risks everything for the truth with nothing to gain. Incensed by the idea of withholding the truth, she resolves to blow the whistle on the illegal nature of the war.
