Aspiring musicians Lars (Will Ferrell) and Sigrit (Rachel McAdams) have always dreamed of winning the Eurovision song contest. Their band, Fire Saga, has put together a song to perform, but everyone throughout Iceland, including Lars’ own father, doesn’t like the band. However, they're chosen to represent Iceland at Eurovision, where they'll compete against hundreds of performers. But when things don’t go as planned, Lars and Sigrit have to stay the course in order to prove everyone wrong.
