Born in Paris to a Cambodian and Chinese father and a French mother, Bérénice Marlohe was introduced to an acting agent after studying at a French university of Arts. She was signed on the spot due to her exceptional and unique look that allowed her to stand out as an actor.

She soon began to land roles on French TV series such as Pas de Secrets Entre Nous, Père et Maire, Section de Recherche and Femmes de Loi before landing a recurring role on Équipe Médicale D'urgence in 2010. She made her French movie debut in L'art de séduire (2011), followed by a small role in Un bonheur n'arrive jamais seul (2012), starring Sophie Marceau. Her big break came when she was cast as mysterious Bond girl Severine in Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig.

Marlohe is also the face of Swarovski's Fall/Winter 2012/13 collection, entitled “Kingdom of Jewels”. She also wears several pieces from their Bond collection in the film.
