Seven years after Bar Paly’s birth in Russia, her family moved to Tel Aviv, Israel, where she grew up. At 17, Bar began her modeling career and by 2003, she was appearing on Israeli television shows.

Bar moved to New York to further her acting career, and although she continued to model in order to pay the bills, by 2006 she was cast in her first American project – a TV movie starring Isabella Rossellini and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, called Filthy Gorgeous, about an elite New York Escort Service. Bar went on to appear in episodes of CSI: NY (2007) and Unhitched (2008) before landing a recurring role in the short-lived 2008 NBC-TV series The Starter Wife, starring Debra Messing.

Bar began garnering the attention of fans, especially men, after appearing in spreads for Maxim magazine. She is often listed on lists of the hottest women by various magazines.

In 2013, Bar portrayed Maria-Carla in A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, a comedy directed, written and produced by Roman Coppola. Set in the 1970s, the film is about a successful graphic designer Charles Swan III (Charlie Sheen) who tries to recover from a breakup with his girlfriend (Katheryn Winnick).

Bar was given the ultimate Hollywood approval when she was cast by Michael Bay in the 2013 crime caper Pain & Gain, alongside Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson.

In 2014, Bar starred opposite Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore in the action suspense flick Non-Stop and with Jon Hamm in Disney’s Million Dollar Arm.

In addition to her film and television projects, Bar served as the 2013 face of Oliver Peoples Eyewear’s 25th anniversary campaign alongside Ray Liotta.

Bar, who enjoys playing video games in her spare time, is married to a Canadian man and currently resides in Los Angeles.
