In the official trailer for Neruda, it is three years since World War II has ended, and a manhunt is on for poet and politician Pablo Neruda (Luis Gnecco). Neruda is the most important communist in the world. His poetry is recited to workers, who are rising up against the fascist government. As Neruda flees from persecution, Inspector Peluchonneau (Gael García Bernal) is hired by the Chilean president to go after him. Meanwhile, Neruda says that while he doesn’t want to be captured, he is not going to hide. Neruda and Peluchonneau face off to become either the protagonist or the supporting character of their story.
