Selma (Golshifteh Farahani) is a psychoanalyst who is bored with life and returns home to Tunisia. Most people dream of getting out of Tunis, so several of Selma's friends thinks she's crazy to have moved back home. Selma decides to start her own practice in Tunis, seeing many interesting characters throughout her day. She also struggles with licensing issues to legitimize her practice, since a lot of the conversations she has with patients are unconventional for her country.
