Although Timo (Samuli Edelmann), 38, is an esteemed concert pianist, his personal life is on the rocks. One day he an older, shabby-looking man named Leo (Vesa-Matti Loiri) turns up at his door. Leo turns out to be his father, who left when Timo was just three years old.

Leo, who was out of the country that entire time, has come back to answer questions ab out the past, and to hand over a rather mysterious legacy. To do, this the two have to embark on a trip together and hit the road going north.

The road trip turns out to be a bonding experience, as Timo learns exactly who his father is and what led him to abandon him all those years ago.
