Lorene Scafaria Interview

When screenwriter Lorene Scafaria's (Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist) father fell ill, she thought a lot about who she'd like to spend time with if she knew her days were coming to an end. So, Scafaria started writing and came up with Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, which she decided to make her directorial debut as well. The film stars Steve Carell and Keira Knightley as two neighbours who find comfort in each other when they discover that an asteroid is about to hit Earth.

Bonnie Laufer from Tribute spoke with Lorene about her inspiration for the film, and why she chose to cast Keira and Steve in the lead roles.
