12-year-old Australian actress Jordana Beatty and screenwriter Megan McDonald are excited to discuss their new comedy, Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer. The movie, in which Beatty portrays the title character, is based on McDonald's "Judy Moody" book series. The family-friendly film follows Judy as she finds out her best friends Rocky and Amy and her parents are all leaving town for the summer. Judy is forced to stay home with her second best friend Frank, her younger brother Stink, and their Aunt Opal (Heather Graham), who they've never met before. To keep the summer interesting, Judy comes up with a thrill points competition.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Jordanna and Megan via satellite from Los Angeles about some of the challenges they had making the film, and what they would consider their own not so bummer summer.
