Interview with Jay Baruchel (How to Train Your Dragon)

To say it’s already been quite the year for Jay Baruchel is an understatement. The Canadian actor is flying high from great reviews for his recently released comedy She’s Out of My League and will soon be basking in the glory of his role opposite Nicolas Cage in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Baruchel is currently busy promoting his new movie, How to Train Your Dragon, an animated comedy about a young man who befriends a dragon and changes the way of life on his island.

Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer spoke with Baruchel in Los Angeles about the different names his parents chose for him before they settled on “Jay,” how close he is to his real life pet, how uncomfortable he is seeing his image on merchandising; and we get his best impersonation of his upcoming co-star Cage.
