Veteran actor Geoffrey Rush was rather pleased when he discovered he was going to voice the part of a wise old owl in the animated 3D feature, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. Based on the best-selling children's novels, Rush plays Ezylrib, a warrior owl who guides an impressionable young owl named Soren.
