Crime investigator Jess (Julia Roberts) vows to find her daughter’s murderer, no matter how long it takes. There are multiple leads, all of which wind up being false alarms. Since the killer destroyed all the DNA evidence that could connect him to the murder, finding him proves to be near impossible. When her partner Ray (Chiwetel Ejiofor) says he’s found the man responsible, it raises more questions.
